Apichatpong Weerasethakul has been captivating audiences with his mesmerizing and dreamlike work that consists of films, video installations and theater performances. The Thai artist will return to Bozar with his first ever performative VR project, a Talk and a selection of his films and film choices. 

Apichatpong Weerasethakul (Bangkok, 1970), currently based in Chiang Mai, is recognized as a major international filmmaker and visual artist who began making films and video shorts in 1994. Celebrated around the world for his tranquil and lyrical oeuvre, his works have won him widespread international recognition and awards, including the Cannes Jury Prize in 2021 for Memoria. He also won the Cannes Palme d’Or in 2010 with Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.
