As part of the Close-up dedicated to him, Apichatpong Weerasethakul is presenting an exclusive programme of short films on 24 and 27 October, giving an overview of his rarely screened shorter works made over the course of the past 20 years. Ranging from the eclectic half-musical Worldly Desires (2005) to the dreamlike On Blue (2022).

Apichatpong Weerasethakul (Bangkok, 1970), currently based in Chiang Mai, is recognized as a major international filmmaker and visual artist. Celebrated around the world for his tranquil and lyrical oeuvre, his works have won him widespread international recognition and awards, including the Cannes Palme d’Or in 2010 with Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.
