‘Railway Sleepers - Sompot Chidgasornpongse’

The screening will take place for free on the roof of Bozar.

​​​​​​​Railway Sleepers explores the close connection between Thai people and Thai railway. Through various activities and scenes inside and outside the moving vehicles, the film turns the train into a microcosm of life in Thailand.

Sompot Chidgasornpongse graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture from Chulalongkorn university, and an MFA in Film/Video from California Institute of the Arts. He has been working closely with Apichatpong Weerasethakul as assistant director in many films. His first feature documentary, Railway Sleepers had its world premiere in Documentary Competition at Busan International Film Festival, and European premiere in the Forum section at the Berlinale.
