‘FORUM Berlinale’

As part of the German Film Festivals on Tour series, the Goethe Institute presents seven films from the 2017 and 2018 Berlinale Forum at BOZAR. Five of these films will be screened for the first time in Belgium. The Forum, which is known for its audacity, has a reputation for presenting the latest trends from the world of cinema.

Directors Nicolas Wackerbarth, Claire Simon, Marie Wilke, Heinz Emigholz and Ruth Beckermann will be present and will take part in discussions with the audience at the end of the screenings. On the first two evenings, the discussions will be led by Birgit Kohler, one of the three directors of the Arsenal – Institut für Film und Videokunst e.V. and member of the Forum's selection committee.
