FORUM Berlinale
In the presence of Marie Wilke (director).
Germany, 2017. In her documentary, Aggregate, Marie Wilke observes the way people form a political opinion from close quarters. The camera is turned on visitors to the German Parliament, the Bundestag – newspaper journalists from Die Welt or taz at morning conferences, as well as partisans of the SPD party in Saxony and angry demonstrators booing Angela Merkel. The director opted for an understated edit, doing away with any commentary so the public is free to analyse what it sees.
