‘Afropolitan Festival 2025’

27 Feb. →
2 Mar.'25

Joy is a song anywhere

‘Joy is a song anywhere’, says aja monet in one of her songs. This phrase perfectly captures the essence of the Afropolitan Festival. In 2025, it pays tribute to the black communities who, over the generations, have overcome many hardships with unshakeable resilience and a penchant for joy. In a world where happiness has become a privilege, our mission is to refocus attention on Black artistic experiences and creations, establishing them as vectors of positive transformation. From 27 February to 2 March, artists, thinkers and performers such as aja monet, Kolinga and Mwezé Ngangura will celebrate joy as an act of resistance and liberation.
