Art As a Gift

A magical atmosphere has pervaded the Horta Hall over the last few days. The rustle of visitors mingles with the sounds of concerts, flashes of light illuminate dancing figures, laughter seems to appear from nowhere, as if spirits were haunting the Palace... Is this due to the overflowing imagination of our teams? Or to the enchantment of our rich winter programme?

And what if we told you that this phenomenon could be summed up in a single card, a small symbolic object to place under the Christmas tree? A chance to treat your loved ones to something special... It's the end-of-year celebrations, and the question of presents arises. So why not culture?  With the Bozar Gift Card, the possibilities are endless.

Offering all the music of Bozar

The walls of the Palace are buzzing with energy! Plural voices took up residence at Bozar during the '24-'25 season under the title A Room Full of New Voices. Offer a Gift Card, a ticket for a specific concert, or a season ticket.

Performance for a lasting memory

Our iconic Horta Hall is the heart of monthly multidisciplinary performances and evenings, Bozar All Over the P(a)lace; a place where art comes to life in all its forms. In February in particular, the eighth edition of the Afropolitan Festival will be all about joy! Treat your loved ones to a joyful and unforgettable artistic experience.

Immersive art.... What is it?

VR cinema in an arthouse cinema? This is what Bozar has to offer, in addition to its already rich regular programme. On 10 January 2025, Bozar will be hosting the first in a long series of virtual reality film screenings. Immersive Cinema is a monthly event that offers a new perspective on VR cinema and presents a precise and valuable selection of VR films ranging from live-action to animation.

In its role as a multidisciplinary art centre, Bozar is also presenting a multitude of events to extend the immersive experience, like The Archaeology of Beasts by Monira Al Qadiri, which is currently on… Interweaving ancient myths and recent facts connected to climate change, Al Qadiri's works oscillate between humour and beauty, often with an underlying violence. For this exhibition she is asking us to reflect on who qualifies as Human and who as Beast.

Discovering a century of pan-African figurative painting

Taking someone close to you to see an exhibition at Bozar is always a wonderful opportunity to discover stunning artworks...
Starting in February, Bozar proudly presents When We See Us, a vast kaleidoscope of Black figurative painting from the 1920s to the present day.  Inspired by Ava DuVernay's drama series When They See Us, and by flipping the ‘they’ to ‘we’, the exhibition title reflects a fundamental perspective exploring Black self-representation and global Black subjectivities. The approximately 140 works by around 100 artists are grouped into six themes: "The Everyday”, "Joy & Revelry”, "Repose”, "Sensuality”, "Spirituality”, and "Triumph and Emancipation”. By focusing on these themes, the exhibition offers a rich, nuanced view of Black life and thought, emphasising the resilience, essence, and political charge of Black joy.

A conference for your curious friends and family

Bozar offers a wide range of conferences, meetings and debates to encourage reflection between literature, art, and society.  This year, more than ever, imagination is running riot with Leïla Slimani, Olga Tokarczuk, Rokhaya Diallo, Kiyémis & Lilian Thuram,... the first headliners of our 2025 Talks & Debates have already been announced, so let yourself be tempted.
