‘Abrupt - Music, Talks & Experiment’

Abrupt is a new annual festival that blends emerging, contemporary and unconventional music, visual arts and public discourse. During the first edition, from 9 - 13 October 2024, Abrupt presents several musical performances, club events, talks & more spread out over several iconic and unique venues in the Brussels Capital-Region. 

Trumpet player Chief Adjuah make the crossing from the US, and composer Laurel Halo brings her latest album, while Maxime Denuc, SKY H1 and Elisabeth Klinck, among others, defend the Belgian honour. Mark 9 October in your calendar for the opening concert with Astrid Sonne and the duo KRM & KMRU

Abrupt is an initiative by the non-profit organization Arty Farty Brussels. Next to running the temporary cultural space Reset Brussels, they co-organised the last six editions of Nuits Sonores Brussels with Bozar. ​​​​​​​
