‘Chief Adjuah (fka Christian Scott) - Moses Yoofee Trio’

Trumpeter Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah dropped his former stage name Christian Scott to honour his grandfather, the legendary Big Chief Donald Harrison Sr, a cultural icon from New Orleans. It won't be long before Adjuah, too, gets to put ‘Big’ in front of his name: with albums on his label Stretch Music, his own festival and even accompanying apps, he wants to ‘stretch’ jazz into a genre-less, musical language. That includes launching new wind instruments! Adjuah, clearly as much an entrepreneur as a musician, was voted Innovator of the Year by Jazz FM in 2016. 

Berlin-based Moses Yoofee Trio toured European (jazz) clubs and festivals in 2023 with their mini-album OCEAN. With a shared love of J Dilla and Madlib, pianist Moses Yoofee, bassist Roman Klobe-Barangă and drummer Noah Fürbringer also regularly turn to R&B, hip-hop and soul. Their eclectic jazz will blow up the roof of the renovated Terarken club hall! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
