5 Reasons to Come to Love is Louder Festival

What is on display in our exhibition halls is not limited to those spaces. At Bozar, we look beyond the walls and let the themes of the exhibitions seep into our music programme. For example, 'Love is Louder' (running until 5 January) inspired the music program of Love is Louder Festival. During those three days, six musicians broaden the meaning of love.

  1. Double or triple bill

We obviously recommend pitching your tent (metaphorically) and experiencing the three-day in its entirety, but if you do have to choose, we'll give you some guidance here. On Friday night, two young artists will present their latest projects in which (self-)love is a tool for positive change. Brussels-based Angolan Martha Da'ro will kick off the evening, followed by American Lyra Pramuk. Saturday is all about singer-songwriters, from the soulful Adja to crowd favourite Gabriel Rios and the spiritual Muva of Earth.

  1. Unique sets at Bozar

For Love is Louder Festival, you don't have to queue up for hours only to watch your favourite artist play far away. Our Terarken Hall guarantees your ideal concert experience thanks to its intimate club atmosphere and excellent sound. Martha Da'ro chose to present her debut album Pilophobia in a club experience and Gabriel Rios selected his favourite love songs especially for Bozar.

  1.  A romantic Love Brunch

Tango ... that's pure passion and love. But also so much more. Pianist Maria Martinova wrote a love letter to the world of tango with her latest album Tango, mon Amour! She presents it at Bozar with actor Pietro Pizzuti at her side. A tango couple translates the genre to the dance floor. During all this, you will sit at a table with your partner (family and friends also welcome) and enjoy brunch. Cosy right?

  1. Let's get spiritual

On her debut album Fountain, Lyra Pramuk created a unique, raw style with just one instrument: her voice. Thanks to electronics, she frees it from any limitation. She becomes an orchestra in her own right. New songs and an engaging staging guarantee a transcendent experience and take you on a ritual journey. With her spiritual punk, Muva of Earth urges us to embrace the inner magic that arises when we go full-on for self-expression and self-love. The gateway to her sound world opens for fans of Bjork, Yves Tumor, Alice Coltrane and Sun Ra.

  1. Visit the Love is Louder exhibition during the festival weekend

Come to Bozar early, because you can visit the Love is Louder exhibition until 6 pm. Spread over three rooms, the group exhibition zooms in on three forms of love: romantic love, friendship and kinship, and a broader social concept of love. Through painting, sculpture, video, film and multimedia installations, you will find out what really connects us, because: Love is Louder!
