‘Schubert Wanderungen’

4 events in homage to Franz Schubert

BOZAR is inviting you to four major events to mark the 220th anniversary of the birth of Schubert. The German baritone Matthias Goerne and the Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes will be interpreting the Austrian composer’s three great song cycles (on 01.02, 03.02 and 04.02): Die schöne Müllerin (The Beautiful Maid of the Mill), Winterreise (Winter Journey) and Schwanengesang (Swan Song). There will also be a “staged concert” - SILENT SONGS into the wild... (on 07.02) - which is inspired by these three great cycles and gives them an amazingly relevant reinterpretation, all within a contemporary spatial installation.
