Olivier De Schutter, professor at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), was the United Nations special rapporteur on the right to food between 2008 and 2014. He currently co-chairs the International Panel of Experts on sustainable food systems (IPES-Food), which studies innovations in agro-food systems in order to prepare recommendations for international agencies and governments.
