‘Hildegard Day’

21 May'16
- 18:00

The poetry of Hildegard of Bingen is the starting point for a mini-festival of both medieval and contemporary music. In the course of this day focusing on the 12th-century German mystic, four ensembles will perform, including two outstanding groups that specialise in medieval music, Ordo Virtutum and Per Sonat. In between their concerts, the chamber music ensemble Het Collectief and the Psallentes choir perform works by the 20th-century composer Galina Ustvolskaya and Hildegard of Bingen herself.
