‘Per Sonat’

Since its creation in 2008, the German ensemble Per Sonat has dedicated itself to medieval music. It not only focuses on discovering lost treasures but especially interests itself in communicating music and poetry as a legacy from the Middle Ages.  In the programme are found a selection of works taken from the Riesencodex (Wiesbaden), the most important heritage left by the mystic Hildegard von Bingen. The collection is outstanding for the time in reason of its extent but also because it reflects the true spirit of Hildegard.
