‘Brussels Days’

Is it the last call for Europe? Because we have always believed in the European project, because we believe there is still time to reflect and to act, L’Obs is organizing its third Brussels Days, in partnership with Le Soir, De Standaard and BOZAR. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will open the debates with a special session when he will be answering questions from the public. Two days of debates to relaunch a dream and to acquire the means to do so. Before it is too late.

BOZAR is placing the spotlight on artists and thinkers whose work is having a real influence on (European) society. The writer Isaak Dawit is one of them. He is the only European to be jailed without trial in Eritrea, for the crime of having a different opinion to the governing regime. During the Brussels Days, BOZAR is giving a voice to three artists whose work focuses on human rights: Renzo Martens, Georgio de Finnis and Thomas Kilpper. The British professor Richard Wilkinson will also be present, proposing concrete solutions to combat inequalities. Finally, BOZAR is launching Next Generation Please, an ambitious educational project within which young people, politicians and artists are working on Europe’s future. The project has the backing of former European Council President Herman Van Rompuy.
