Vary your listening, invent your world
The music of J.S. Bach is a never-ending source of inspiration. Even today, musicians and artists still revel in the beauty of its counterpoint and expression. During the Bach Heritage Festival, Bozar invites you to listen anew, to open your ears to the multiple interpretations of the works of the great German Baroque composer. Far from Glenn Gould's legendary interpretation, the Goldberg Variations will themselves be subjected to all kinds of variations: at the fingertips of intrepid harpsichordist Jean Rondeau, as a playground for free spirits Anthony Romaniuk and Benjamin Glorieux, in a minimalist reinvention for piano and pre-recorded tape by George De Decker, or in a choreographed version embodied by dancers from Platform-K. Also included are the moving viola da gamba of Mathias Ferré and the invigorating face-to-face concert experience of Bach Kliniek.
