New Brussels film premieres at Bozar!

The film Ana + Yek by two Brussels filmmakers will premiere in Bozar’s new cinema hall, The 23. The film will be screened from 5 → 13 Feb.'25.

Ana + Yek ("Me + You") offers a journey of mutual understanding through the evolving relationship of twin sisters Sanaa and Zohra. What begins as Zohra’s exploration of their Moroccan heritage gradually reveals Sanaa’s deepening love for Islam, unfolding as an intimate cinematic dialogue on sisterly love and independence.

Romy Mana (1994) and Zohra Benhammou (1994), a filmmaking duo based in Brussels, both graduated in different fields: Romy in Fine Arts and Zohra in communication and journalism. They share a passion for film, personal stories, and exploring the complexities of social and cultural realities in modern society, which led them to write and create films together.
Zohra previously directed the award-winning documentary Rupture, which follows fifteen Brussels youths from the Peterbos neighborhood on a trek through the Spanish Pyrenees. She was also the casting director for the popular Streamz Original series Putain.

Ana + Yek will take place in Bozar's new cinema hall, The 23.
