‘Wayne Marshall’

16 Sept.'18
- 19:00

Does the name Wayne Marshall ring any bells? Maybe you know him as the conductor of the cine concert West Side Story a couple of seasons back at BOZAR. Or possibly from his numerous recordings of Gershwin’s piano works? During this recital, you will hear the multi-talented artist in a third role: that of a virtuoso organist! For many years now, Marshall’s organ recitals have been delighting audiences in the biggest churches and concert halls in the world. Marshall is bursting with imagination and energy, which he uses to good effect in the absolute masterpieces he will perform during this concert. The greatest organ works really come into their own on the organ of the Henry Le Bœuf Great Hall, with its infinite wealth of sounds, dynamic and volume – it certainly does credit to the organ’s nickname of 'king of instruments'!
