"At a time when the conservative revolution is assailing our bodies, it seems particularly important to discover them as vehicles of freedom.”
Our body, intimacy, sexuality are essential aspects of our life, and yet topics we find so difficult to talk about, surrounded by taboos and judgments. Controversial Golden Bear winner at Berlinale TOUCH ME NOT is an invitation to dialogue, which challenges us to question our preconceived ideas.
The open debate TOUCH ME NOT - POLTICS OF THE BODY invites you to a conversation with the film's inspiring protagonists, passionate artists and for human rights coming from all across Europe, together with filmmaker Adina Pintilie. An invitation to self-reflection, a space for dialogue on urgent topics: the body as battleground for ideologies, the way we relate to each other and our capacity for empathy, diversity and inclusion, intimacy and disability, gender equality and personal boundaries, freedom.
The debate is held in English and is moderated by MARLEEN WYNANTS, director of VUB CROSSTALKS.
