‘Sufjan Stevens’

The singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens returns to Brussels, with the kind of music we love to hear from him: stylish, stripped-down songs that melt your heart. Following the electronica excursions of recent years, he now has a new album out. On Carrie & Lowell, named after his mother and stepfather, he goes back to his roots: pure folk songs with an indie touch, of the kind we first heard on superb albums such as Michigan and Illinois. He may not have carried out his plan to make an album about every state in the US, but Illinois is now recognised as a classic. On this tour, Stevens is joined by the French singer Mina Tindle. Book soon: it's not every day that Stevens comes to Belgium.
