The day after the traditional Sufi Night, Bozar invites you to extend the celebration of Sufi cultures with a morning concert full of poetry. In Here and Now, Walid Ben Selim combines the texts of Sufi masters with his suave, soulful vocals, delicately supported by the arpeggios of harpist Marie-Marguerite Cano. Following the verses of Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwich and Persian mystic Mansur al-Hallaj, Walid Ben Selim sings of love and, beyond the immediate emotion evoked by the music and words, he builds bridges between sacred and contemporary music, between Jewish, Christian and Islamic spiritualities.
