
Jeonim, an artist and lecturer at a women’s university, turns to her uncle Chu Sieon - a former theater director turned bookshop owner - to replace a scandal-plagued director for her department’s play. Reuniting after ten years, Chu Sieon confronts past regrets while forming new connections with his family and forms a new bond with the admiring Professor Jeong. An affectionate autumnal tale about newfound kinship, and the comfort found in artistic creation.

Hong Sangsoo first gained attention in 1996 with The Day a Pig Fell into the Well. Over the years, he has earned numerous international awards. Besides being a professor of screenwriting and directing in Seoul, he remains one of the most inventive and prolific filmmakers in contemporary cinema.
