‘SPECIAL SCREENING: Expo 58’

Previously unseen images retrieved from the Belgavox archives will be screened to give you the chance to (re)discover the Brussels of the time and preparations for Expo '58, the major event in Belgium's cultural life. The Wallonia-Brussels Federation Cinémathèque will also be proposing a previously unseen film from its collections: Retrospective 58 by R. Vercruyssen. A chance to discover the Atomium, the national pavilions, and the specificities of the countries represented. Tunnels for the new tramways and motorways were built to welcome the many visitors… All in an atmosphere of a "joyous Belgium".
