Ripit, aka Nicolas Esterle, started his musical activities as a black metal guitar player in 1995. In 1998 he turned to radical electronic, developing a noisy, rhythmical and psychedelic sound based on primitive synthesizer use. He then evolved to a more complex form of sound tending to beat microsurgery and orchestral bombast.

He has released over 100 records on numerous labels and toured several times in North America and Europe. In 2006, he founded with TZII, he founded the duo Solar Skeletons. And in 2007, he founded the concrete Dub/Mutant Rap project FUJAKO with Portuguese Dub strategist HHY. With his primal creative technique, Ripit’s live sets are based on the extensive use of modular synths, old school drum machines and no-input mixers to create dance/acid music, plunging the crowd in a magma of electrical textures mixing dance-floor references and magnetic fog.  He has collaborated with musicians including Steve Mackay (The Stooges), Mike Watt (Minutemen, The Stooges), Marshall Allen (Sun Ra Arkestra), Otto Von Schirach, End.user, Xanopticon, Hecate, Clipping.
