‘Ray Chen, violin & Alice Sara Ott, piano’

20 Dec.'17
- 20:00

A meeting of two exceptionally gifted young musicians. The violinist Ray Chen and the pianist Alice Sara Ott. The dedicatee of a BOZAR "portrait", the Australian-Taiwanese violinist, who won First Prize in the 2009 Queen Elisabeth Competition, has been compared to Vengerov, as a reflection of his energy, delicacy and vitality, while the German-Japanese pianist already has all the qualities of an accomplished performer: virtuosity, expressiveness and elegance. Together, they form a duet performing with an all-too-rare intensity, and offering a programme in their own image, with the highlight of their performance being Beethoven's legendary Kreutzer Sonata, one of the repertoire's most demanding works.
