‘Quatuor Zaïde & Anneleen Lenaerts’

Just last year Quatuor Zaïde shone at the Centre for Fine Arts as the Rising Stars of the Philharmonie de Paris. This year they share the stage with the Belgian harpist Anneleen Lenaerts. In 2010, she was chosen as soloist with the innovative Wiener Philharmoniker. Together they will be performing the impressionistic works Danse Sacrée et Danse Profane by Claude Debussy and Conte fantastique by André Caplet. The latter, a French composer and conductor, entered musical history as Debussy’s amanuensis but was himself a gifted composer. For his 1923 work Conte fantastique he was inspired by works from Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Mystery and Imagination. A little-known fact!
