La Pile

What if, suddenly, we were unable to draw power from the grid?

With the project La Pile, City Mine(d) prepares the Brussels Midi neighbourhood for the day electric power no longer has to come from kilometres away over the gigantic electricity grid.
Generating our own electricity, storing it for later use and sharing it with our neighbours are familiar ways of reducing our dependency of the grid. But which mix is the best form our neighbourhood? And how to make sure all are involved?

On Sunday 12 May, Joël Solé (Brussel Environment), Dirk Vansintjan (Rescoop.eu and Ecopower) and Leen Govaerts (Energyville) under (experience) expert supervision of John Vandaele (Energent, Mo* Magazine) debate the results of the exploration game and the role of citizens in the future of electricity.
