Die Kunst der Fuge

Grand specialist of Baroque music, Philippe Herreweghe once again proves that, at the head of his Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, he masters the other eras in music history with the same ease. We get to visit several of them. On the programme will be extracts from the Art of Fugue, Bach’s final monumental work, often considered to be his musical testament and the very pinnacle of his evolution. There will also be classical music by Mozart for one of his most moving concertos for piano. And romantic music, with one of its highlights: Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony n° 3. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, you’d be hard pressed to come up with a better line up.

On the occasion of the Bach Heritage festiva, BOZAR LITERATURE has asked a number of poets to write a poet on Bach for the publication of "Thirteen Ways of Looking at J.S. Bach".
