‘"home sweet home: lecture-performance Klarafestival 2017"’

‘Home sweet home’ is the theme for the 2017 Klarafestival that will be focusing on the role of place and displacement in the life and work of composers and musicians. On musical roots, identity, exile and homesickness. The festival invites you on a journey through the 19th and 20th centuries and through Central Europe,Russia and the United States in particular. How did Leoš Janáček and other Bohemian composers express their love for their fatherland in their music? What effect did the Russian Revolution and the Soviet regime have on composers and musicians, and what exactly does America sound like? During this lecture-performance you can hear the answer to these questions from the BOHO4 quartet!
