Jewellery collection
The Slovak exhibition platform Flowers for Slovakia comes back with a third unique traveling collection. Pass it on outlines the historical timeline of Slovakia through evocative jewellery, telling stories of both bygone and current game changers by young talents to watch.
The idea to tell the story of Slovak heritage via the unconventional means of contemporary design originates from the project’s creators, Lars Kemper and Peter Olah. The name and the mission of the project, inspired by the act of giving, started as a pilot project in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture in Bratislava.
Since 2009, the project has involved 45 young designers and produced over 18 international exhibitions. For its previous exhibition projects – the glass collection Handle with Care and the furniture collection Lost & Found by Vitra – the platform has received three internationally recognised awards and several nominations.
For the occasion of the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Flowers for Slovakia is supported by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and runs under the auspices of the President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska.
