Rising Star Philharmonie de Paris

Giovincello or "young man" is the title of Edgard Moreau’s latest album. The young man has been playing the cello since the age of four. Now in his early twenties, he has become the leading French star of his generation. Le Figaro admires his "effortless virtuosity" and dynamic performance. During this concert, he will be accompanied by the pianist Pierre-Yves Hodique, with whom he recorded the album Play. He will be performing the Belgian premiere of Spirales, pour violoncelle et piano by the French contemporary composer Éric Tanguy. You will also be hearing works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Edgar Moreau is the Rising Star of the Philharmonie de Paris. Every season, starting from 1997-1998, Europe’s leading concert halls select a group of promising talents to become their “Rising Stars”. You can now enjoy all the stars of the future.
