‘Drek’

Maja Westerveld wrote, performed and directed Drek, the greatest day in the life of Mevrouw [Madam]. Her Document, a manual for Existence, is about to be presented to great fanfare. “Just my luck,” Mevrouw thinks as she sleeps past her alarm, today of all days. She tries to make up for it but the day, the world, the entire cosmos has gone ahead without her. She watches in sorrow as her place is taken by a slightly slimmer version of herself.
