Day 3: Las Mujeres

Long live women, que vivan las mujeres! On 8 March, which also happens to be International Women’s Day, a flamenco star will perform at BOZAR with an all-female dance cast. Rafaela Carrasco transforms every performance into a stunning technical and visual feat. Before this performance, Carmen Fernandez and Madhu Lalbahardoersing will try to achieve a rapprochement, starting from their own respective Spanish and Indian singing traditions, and performing a centuries-old antiphon in honour of the Virgin Mary. The flamenco dancer Pilar Ogalla then takes you on a journey to the elegant Seville of her memories, with her graceful dance movements and powerful stage presence.
