‘Dana Michel. MIKE’

Following her presentation at the 2023 Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Bozar is inviting Dana Michel back to Brussels with her performance MIKE.

MIKE explores the culture of work through a reflective durational performance. Choreographer, dancer and writer Dana Michel combines movement with space and objects, creating a vivid mise en abîme of the dehumanised work environment. This performance is both political and aesthetic and the audience passes through, exploring with it a dream of society.

The question of representation — combined with that of the dance profession — makes Dana Michel’s MIKE a show that resonates particularly well with the exhibition When We See Us.

This durational performance invites audiences to move around the space. Limited number of chairs and blankets will be available to ensure you can sit comfortably.
