For one night only, the Centre for Fine Arts will be transformed into a nightclub. Switch from one auditorium to another and curate your own musical experience at Club Night.
For once we can believe the weather forecast: the bassist Ruth Goller will bring thunder and lighting from the London jazz scene. She has been causing a furore for years with Sons of Kemet, Alabaster DePlume and Melt Yourself Down. Her solo project Skylla is cut from a different cloth, however. She retunes her bass guitar for each track and weaves her own lyrics into polyphonic harmonies. Short musical patterns are repeated to create a masked ritual like a lugubrious rain dance. Sink into the cushions in the Horta Hall and swoon before the hypnotising Ruth Goller.
This concert is part of Club Night during our Opening Week 24-25. Keep an eye on this page for the full programme. A ticket to Club Night gives you access to all the concerts and shows, but please bear the limited capacity of our auditoria in mind.
