Carnets de voyage

In 1737 and 1738 the Hamburg composer Philipp Telemann made a journey through Europe, curious to discover what his fellow musicians in other countries were doing. This concert seeks to provide a musical report on his travels. In the Low Countries, Telemann met figures who remain relatively unknown to this day:  Pieter Van Maldere, Herman-François Delange and Henri-Jacques de Croes. This concert is an opportunity to discover them, as to be unknown is also to be unloved. The Brussels ensemble BarrocoTout was founded four years ago and consists of four musicians who trained in the practices of early music performances. They not only play known works but also like to highlight the work of forgotten composers. As they will be doing at this concert.
