Aljoša Jurinić
Croatian pianist Aljoša Jurinić was just eight years old when he started playing the piano, and his passion for the instrument grew like wildfire. He made a name for himself in 2012, when he won the Zwickau International Robert Schumann Piano Competition. Since then, Jurinić has made appearances at major festivals and in 2016 he was the fifth laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. RTBf’s culture channel had this to say: “An intelligent serving of charm and mastery. It’s all about subtleties and passionate piano playing, without going over the top.” This augurs well for his recital at BOZAR, where he will be performing Chopin and Debussy.
