- 18:00
The March Nocturne weaves together mythological, fantastical, and aesthetic narratives. Berlinde De Bruyckere’s exhibition, inhabited by imposing souls, is complemented by an exceptional concert from Norwegian musician Bendik Giske and the inauguration of Gabriel Massan’s immersive installation in the Bozar Arcade space. A truly musical evening, filling the walls with sound and inviting immersion.
Musical Performances
The Brussels Chamber Choir, conducted by Helen Cassano, is one of Belgium’s most highly awarded amateur choirs. Their repertoire, spanning from the Renaissance to contemporary compositions, will be performed by 25 singers in the exhibition spaces, in resonance with Berlinde De Bruyckere's Khorós exhibition.
Grammy-nominated saxophonist Bendik Giske will offer a hypnotic performance in the Hall Horta. For this occasion, the artist collaborates with the creative floral duo Anatomie Fleur to create an ephemeral installation in the heart of Bozar, amplifying Bendik Giske's hypnotic and sensorial universe.
Niels Orens will animate the Hall Horta before and after his performance.
Exhibitions
The Berlinde De Bruyckere. Khorós exhibition will remain open throughout the nocturne. Visitors can enjoy guided tours in several languages.
The Bozar Arcade space will also stay open all evening. Artist Gabriel Massan will be present to discuss their immersive video game, Third World: The Bottom Dimension, while Chloé Boels, founder of Stream'Her, a community of female streamers, activates the game.
Talks & Debates
The evening will feature Meet the Artist: Berlinde De Bruyckere, in conversation with Danny Ilegems. This event requires a separate ticket, which also grants access to the nocturne.
