The Story of five Dresses

The exhibition Bellissima. The story of three dresses, invites you to discover the alta moda or Italian haute couture between 1945 and 1968. Three emblematic dresses reveal a story to you: that of Italian fashion, culture and the Italian fashion industry. The period during and after the Second World War was characterised by reconstruction and creativity. Alongside dresses, you can also admire works of art, the very ones which inspired fashion designers of the day. In exclusivity for the exhibition, BOZAR has created a Cabinet of Wonders, equipped with impressive display cabinets and tailors’ dummies.

Curators: Maria Luisa Frisa, Anna Mattirolo and Stefano Tonchi
