New Year's Concert 2025

The Spanish classical guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas can undoubtedly be called the world's most renowned ambassador of Spanish guitar music. He has performed in legendary venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and has also performed a New Year's concert with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Kirill Petrenko.

Together with the young Finnish conductor Emilia Hoving, one of the current rising stars, Pablo Sáinz Villegas presents a festive New Year's program featuring music from various continents. Viennese waltzes are blended with Spanish and South American melodies. As tradition requires, the concert concludes with Johann Strauss Senior's Radetzky March.
