‘Bao's Dream’

For this brand new project commissioned by Bozar, the famous Senegalese singer Mamy Kanouté, one of Baaba Maal's main backing vocalists for over two decades, will share a Belgian stage with Bao Sissoko. This Brussels Mandingo griot of Senegalese origin is renowned for his refined and virtuoso kora playing. Surrounded by the excellent musicians of Kanouté’s band, including violinist Wouter Vandenabeele, they will revisit tracks from the album Mousso Lou (2014), which mixes traditional griot music with bold string arrangements.

The Bao's Dream concert on 14 April will unfortunately not take place. People who have bought one or more tickets for this concert will be contacted for a refund or an exchange of tickets.
