‘BALKAN TRAFIK’

21 + 22
Apr.'17

DAY 1 & 2 : Dance, Happenings, workshops, …

Aside from our concerts and films, on 21 and 22 April we are putting on a non-stop series of entertainment and activities which will immerse you in the very heart of an immeasurable cultural diversity and global experience which make the Festival so special. In keeping with the theme of quality and conviviality, you will get to take a closer look at the cultures of the Balkans. The henceforth cult Vino Zirkus, place of jam sessions amongst musicians, meetings and dances, brings together artists and audiences in an informal proximity that is rich in emotion. Workshops give you the chance to try out Turkish (Dillere Destan) and Bulgarian (Zlatna Trakia) folk dances or to have a go at making traditional hats from Albanian-speaking communities known as Plis (Queleshepunues), for example. During a round table involving experts, artists and students from the Balkans and Brussels, you get to discover their reality and in the light of this gain a better understanding of Europe (Cappucino Pros). Ready? Then open your mind and awaken your senses because you’re headed for the Balkans!
