‘Armida Quartett’

6 June'17
- 20:00

Rising Star Kölner Philharmonie, Laeiszhalle Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden & Konzerthaus Dortmund

Every year since 1998, a series of illustrious concert halls in Europe, all members of the European Concert Hall Organisation, have selected a number of Rising Stars – or promising talents. For the 2016-2017 season, their choice has fallen in particular on the Armida Quartet. During its 10-year career, the Quartet has won several awards and has been featured on the bill of various key festivals, such as the Schleswig-Holstein, Rheingau and Heidelberg events. Armida offers original programme choices, as underscored by this concert. Apart from works by Mozart and Mendelssohn, you will hear the Belgian premiere of a string quartet by the young Serb composer Marko Nikodijevic, and a selection from Bach’s The Art of Fugue.
