"Mira is a painter. After forty years of artistic career in South America, she returns to Israel to her childhood home. At home, Mira discovers that his brother died, and his friend, Aaron, lives in his place, a truck driver who has lost his memory due to an accident. Mira is a completely selfish artist. Aaron is lonely and wanders aimlessly through life. They are both difficult, uncomfortable, ruthless, but they both find they need each other. (...) With a tradition of 141 years and almost seven decades of activity as a state institution, the Jewish State Theatre of Bucharest is the successor of the first professional Jewish theatre in the world, created by Avram Goldfaden in 1876 in Iasi. Its distinct profile is representative of the theatre movement in Romania and of the contemporary landscape of the Yiddish scenic art. The Jewish State Theatre is the oldest ensemble in the world with an uninterrupted existence since 1876.

,,Mira este pictor. După patruzeci de ani de carieră artistică în America de Sud, revine în Israel, în casa copilăriei sale. Acasă, Mira descoperă că fratele ei a murit, iar în locul lui trăieşte prietenul acestuia, Aaron - şofer de camion, care şi-a pierdut memoria din cauza unui accident. Mira este un artist complet egoist. Aaron este singur şi fără ţintă, cu o viaţă ratată. Amândoi sunt dificili, incomozi, nemiloşi, dar amândoi descoperă că au nevoie unul de altul. Cu o tradiție de 141 de ani și aproape șapte decenii de activitate ca instituție de stat, Teatrul Evreiesc de Stat din București este continuatorul primului teatru evreiesc profesionist din lume, creat de Avram Goldfaden în 1876 la Iași. Cu un profil distinct, reprezentativ atât pentru mișcarea teatrală din România, cât și pentru peisajul contemporan al artei scenice de limbă idiș, Teatrul Evreiesc de Stat constituie cel mai vechi ansamblu de acest gen cu existență neîntreruptă din lume.
