On Thursday, 27 March, you will have a unique opportunity to meet Berlinde De Bruyckere herself during a conversation with journalist Dany Illegems. The artist shares her sources of inspiration, the stories behind her work, and her vision of the exhibition. This evening will be extra special because the halls will remain open until midnight, so you can view the works of art in peace after this fascinating conversation.
4. A cinematic perspective: Teorema by Pier Paolo Pasolini
The connection between art and film becomes tangible during the screening of Teorema, a masterpiece by Pier Paolo Pasolini. This film, in which the arrival of a mysterious guest profoundly changes the lives of a family, ties in seamlessly with the themes of transformation and vulnerability in De Bruyckere’s work. On Tuesday, 22 April, you can watch the film in the presence of the artist, who will open the evening. Anyone who misses this opportunity can also see the film at 2 p.m. on 26 and 27 April.

5. A multidisciplinary evening: Bozar All Over the P(a)lace
On Thursday, 24 April, Bozar will transform into a lively meeting place during Bozar All Over the P(a)lace. This evening combines art, performances, music, and film and offers a wide range of experiences. You can enjoy the special performance of Romeu My Deer by Romeu Runa, inspired by the work of De Bruyckere. Also showing will be Mira de Boose’s film White Skin Closed Eye, which provides an intimate look at the artist’s creative process. In addition, you can explore the exhibition until midnight and end the evening with a drink in a vibrant atmosphere.

On Wednesday, 14 May, writer Caroline Lamarche will take you on her literary exploration of Berlinde De Bruyckere’s work. On Tuesday, 17 June, Bozar invites you to the screening of Why We Fight?, a film by Alain Platel and Mirjam Devriendt.
