EXPO - Now → 5 Jan.'25 Love is Louder: From the Summer of Love of 1967 to today, the exhibition will show how in the last 50 years we have moved beyond the image of the traditional couple or the nuclear family, how friendships shape us and what it means to put love at the heart of society.
FILMS - 20 Nov. → 1 Dec.'24 Our Burning World: Love is Louder: Through the Our Burning World series, Bozar presents a selection of films and encounters that address pressing political and societal issues. BOZAR DIGITAL - Now → 5 Jan.'25 Bozar Arcade: Love and Emotions in Video Games: This edition explores not only romantic love, kinship, and friendship but also societal bonds and how we connect to others in society. In the hands of artists and creatives, this interactive medium offers a possibility for deeper emotional connection with characters and immersive narratives.
TALKS, PERFORMANCES, EXPO - 28 Nov. → 1 Dec.'24: Le Pavillon des Amours aka PAV.LOV. is an unprecedented celebration of love. In a poetic architecture designed by Laëtitia Badaut-Haussmann, talks and performances redefine love as a dynamic and queer force, beyond its romantic connotations. The PAV.LOV. creates a space for new stories by over twenty contributors.
MUSIC - 13 → 15 Dec.'24 Love is Louder Festival: This musical reverie goes beyond the romantic notion of love. Self-love, friendship and social commitment wash away the sorrow of heartbreak in a cross-genre programme. From debutantes Martha Da'ro and Lyra Pramuk to the soulful Adja Fassa, crowd favourite Gabriel Rios and spiritual Muva of Earth to a brunch with tango. It's fair to say that Love is Louder Festival has plenty of reasons to celebrate love together.
NOCTURNE - 28 Nov.'24 18:00 Bozar All Over the P(a)lace - Nocturne Love: In the heart of the Horta Hall, The Pavilion des amours serves as an emotional epicentre. A diverse array of artists will gather here: drag-queer artist Lylybeth Merle collaborates with a slam poet, pole dancer, and drag queen to create a poetic fresco celebrating love and freedom; room 23, the new cinema space at Bozar, will screen short films by Alva Cross Pelise, Jay Rosenblatt, and Béatrice Gibson alongside Alice Diop's medium-length film, Towards Tenderness; and Rafaela Crispino revives her performance installation, Circles of Songs, which featured the voices of Bozar visitors in 2022. This nocturne culminates in music, inviting us to drift, wander, and weave connections of (self) love.
