Zakir Hussain is considered one of the greatest musicians of our time. He invites us on a voyage through Indian music, with his fellow musicians, to the sound of the tabla, the sarangi and the mridangam​.  

Zakir Hussain is appreciated both in the field of percussion and in the music world at large as one of the greatest musicians of our time. As a tabla virtuoso, who has an innate sense for improvisation, Hussain has worked with several leading international artists, including George Harrison, Yo-Yo Ma, Joe Henderson, Van Morrison and Billy Cobham leading to several unique and historic collaborations such as Shakti, with John McLaughlin and L. Shankar, Remember Shakti, Planet Drum with Mickey Hart, or Sangam with Charles Lloyd et Eric Harland. Hussain is accompanied on this occasion by his musicians – the dholak legend Navin Sharma, the virtuoso sarangi player Sabir Khan (the son of the legendary Padma Bhushan Ustad Sultan Khan) and the celebrated mridangam player Anantha R. Krishnan. An invitation to a voyage through Indian music and its many ancestral treasures.
