Europe Day and the 55th Anniversary of the EU-Korea Relations

To celebrate the 55th anniversary of Korea-EU relations, four organisations representing diplomacy and culture come together to unite their efforts. A series of performances will take place, surpassing boundaries, and broadcast in real-time. Congratulatory addresses will be delivered by Mr. Michael Reiterer (Ambassador of the EU to Korea) and Mr. Kim Hyoung-zhin (Ambassador of Korea to Belgium and the EU). Then Jasmine Choi, the first Korean wind player for the Vienna Symphony and Cincinnati Symphony, will celebrate the moment in Seoul. Having played alongside great orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic, she will play the songs for Korea and the EU. Sung-im Her, a choreographer known for her performances with the Needcompany, Troubleyn and Les Ballet C de la B, will follow at BOZAR. Her You Are Okay! is a hybridization of dance, calligraphy and traditional music to present the lives of immigrants, corresponding to this day of connectivity. This cosmopolitan event aims to transcend nationalities, time-zones and artistic disciplines for a happy concord.
