CIVICO Europa

‘Which way forward for a better European Future?’

9 May'17
- 17:00

CIVICO BOZAR Forum

One year to the day following the call of 9 May for a new European renaissance and in the immediate aftermath of the French presidential election, BOZAR and CIVICO Europe are initiating with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker a major European civic debate on our common future. What Europe for a better future?  How to engage citizens and civil society in preparing a new stage in the history of the Union? How to breathe new life into our democracies? What role for culture in tomorrow's Europe?

With: Jean-Claude Juncker (President of the European Commission), Daniel Cohn-Bendit (supporter of Emmanuel Macron, former president of the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament), Guillaume Klossa (initiator of CIVICO Europa, founder of EuropaNova), Maria João Rodrigues (Vice-President of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Group  in the European Parliament, former minister), Taavi Rõivas (former Prime Minister of Estonia), Utta Tuttlies (Pulse of Europe).

CIVICO Europa is an informal group of opinion leaders, intellectuals, and cultural figures from all over Europe with the ambition of giving new impetus to the European project and of placing the European citizen at the heart of this new dynamic.
