‘What role for the municipalities in managing the challenges facing Brussels?’

18 Sept.'18
- 18:30

AGORA Urban Master Class with Emilie van Haute

This session will look at the place of the municipalities in the architecture of governance in Brussels and at the impact of their role in managing the major challenges facing the city. It will be based on  an analysis of the point of view of the governance actors (officer holders, administrative managers and heads of parapublic bodies) and citizens' perceptions regarding the way in which these issues are managed.  It will consider the role (in practice and desired) of the municipalities in managing these issues: education, social cohesion, finance, mobility, infrastructures, democracy, etc.

Emilie van Haute is a researcher and assistant director of the CEVIPOL, ULB.
